What we need from you:

The BDE is responsible to represent ASAP with Clients in meeting their business requirements by creating an end to end solution, delivering the solution, resolving issues, escalating problems and insuring that the projects continue or come to a successful close.  This position will be responsible to develop the Western Great Lakes, Central & Southern Regions.


  • The Business Development Executive (BDE) will be responsible to take ownership of developing business in New Accounts, Logistics Projects and Expanding Offerings in existing accounts or where ever new business is developed. 
  • The key focus is to develop business penetrating opportunities where ASAP’s Service Offerings create value add services for clients. 
  • The BDE will be responsible to develop the end to end solutions and will be expected to create project plans assigning actions and owners, drive operational performance that successfully meets client requirements and engage the broader ASAP team as needed
  • Manage multiple project tasks, engage management and present status updates
  • Create targeted client lists
  • Identify and call on customers
  • Clarify and Identify Client requirement for projects or other opportunities
  • Align Carrier capability for projects such as:
    • Truck Types
    • Schedules
    • Routes
    • Client requirements
    • Other requirements as necessary
  • Develop offering penetration plans for ASAP’s Service Offerings
  • Sell ASAP Offerings including Dedicated Lanes, Expedite Freight, Cross Dock, Warehousing, and Logistics Projects
  • Understand the current fleet, capacities, and the difference between utilizing the company’s current assets vs utilizing broker relationships.
  • Investigate & Establish new Industries
  • All other duties as assigned


  • Minimum 2 years of outside sales experience in Transportation/Logistics (Preferred)
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiations and closing skills
  • Ability to close deals in a timely fashion
  • Ability to manage priorities and deadlines
  • Proficient knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
